On this Saturday afternoon, there were more bikes than people in the streets of Woerden (Netherlands).
In Woerden, the cyclists are very serious there, but they are very creative about decorating their bikes. Flowers, bright colors, … Some bicycles are traditional Dutch ones, but the other ones are obviously hand painted bikes. And, since it often rains in the streets of Woerden, the people protect their bikes on a cheep and efficient way: they cover the saddles with any plastic piece that they find.
You will also see that the oldest bicycles are older than you and that all ways are good to keep them alive.
Have also a look to this album: 1000 Bikes in Hilversum. There are also thousands bikes parked. This time, they are parked where it is forbidden.
