A short walk through Düsseldorf city centre. I thought I’d see a few narrow streets with old houses, but all I saw were (very) modern buildings. Düsseldorf is known as a modern city, and indeed the architecture is very modern in Düsseldorf. While Düsseldorf does have historical buildings, such as the Benrath Palace and Jägerhof Palace, the cityscape is predominantly defined by its modern structures. This blend of old and new creates a unique urban environment that reflects Düsseldorf’s progressive spirit and its status as a hub for design and innovation.
